About the NHLPA
The National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) was established in 1967. It represents 750 players in the National Hockey League (NHL). The NHLPA works on behalf of the players in an effort to promote its members and the game of hockey. The NHLPA gives back to the game of hockey by donating equipment to deserving children and supporting grassroots hockey programs, through the NHLPA Goals & Dreams fund.
