The cost to cancel your policy will depend on a few different factors. If you choose not to renew your policy, there is no cost to cancel. However, if you choose to cancel your policy before the policy end date, a short rate cancellation charge may apply. Short rate cancellation is applied to home policies across all provinces and auto policies in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and P.E.I. Keep in mind that we’ll also consider the payments made up until the cancellation date and you may owe or be refunded money based on this.
