Alberta

Your driver’s licence will be one of 4 formats:

AA####

A#####

######

#####-###

#= any numbers
A= any letters

British Columbia

Driver's licence format:

####### or ########

#= any numbers

Please note: There can be 7 or 8 numbers. In either case, you’ll need to enter the total number of digits on your driver's licence number.

Manitoba

Driver's licence format:

AAAAAAA###BB

A= any letters
#= any numbers
B= numbers or letters

Please note: Do not enter dashes “-“.

Newfoundland & Labrador

Your driver's licence will be one of 2 formats:

AYYMMDD###

A= first letter of last name
Y= the last two numbers of birth year
M= month of birth year
D= day of birth year
#= any numbers

AA########

A= any letters
#= any numbers

New Brunswick

Please note: In certain cultures, the first and last name is reversed, if the first letter of your driver’s licence happens to be from your first name, please enter in your first and last names in the opposite sections.

Prince Edward Island

Quebec
