If you have your smartphone with you, your trips will be tracked globally, as long as it’s turned on and your permissions are still set. But, we don’t require you to have your cellular data turned on to record your trips while travelling outside Canada or the United States.

Plan to keep your cellular data turned on while you’re away? If so, you’re responsible for assuming all roaming fees, cellular data fees (including overages), plan fees and any other fees your mobile service provider may charge you as a result.
